About Tampa

Our History

We are excited to launch the Tampa Chapter of the Women’s International Network of Utility Professionals (WiNUP), a group focused on supporting women working in all areas of the utility industry. Our chapter induction meeting is taking place on July 8th, 2025.

Our chapter will host monthly programs, such as luncheons and evening events, that offer opportunities for learning, professional growth, and connecting with experts and leaders in the field.

Members can also take part in mentoring—getting career guidance from experienced professionals who understand the challenges and opportunities within the utility sector.

For those interested in leadership, there are plenty of ways to get involved. Serving on committees or running for officer positions—locally or internationally—helps members build confidence and leadership experience.

W
e believe in giving back. Our chapter will support initiatives that educate and encourage women and girls to pursue careers in utilities, helping to build a stronger, more diverse workforce. We will do this mainly through supporting local S.T.E.M. activities and initiatives.
