WiNUP chapters support the advancement of young professionals in STEM fields.

WiNUP Texhoma Chapter $250 STEM Scholarship


All current female high school seniors planning to enter the 2026-2027 school year who are residents of Oklahoma, Arkansas or Texas are eligible to apply for the scholarship.  To apply for the Texhoma Chapter STEM scholarship, please click on the button below and follow instructions. Applications are due April 10th.

WiNUP Indiana Chapter $500 STEM Scholarship


Current Indiana high school seniors or current college students (Indiana primary residence) are eligible to receive this scholarship. To apply for the Indiana Chapter STEM scholarship, please print out the form below, follow all instructions and submit by April 17, 2026 at 5pm ET.

WiNUP Kentucky $500 to $1000 STEM Scholarship


The Kentucky Chapter of WiNUP supports women pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). We are offering up to two one time scholarships in 2026, ranging from $500–$1,000, for STEM related education or training at a university or vocational program.
Eligibility: Applicants must be a daughter, step daughter, granddaughter, or step granddaughter of an active employee of American Electric Power, East Kentucky Power Cooperative, Kentucky American Water, Mastec, or Columbia Gas of Kentucky/NiSource.
Deadline: Submit the completed application by April 25, 2026 to ekean@nisource.com.

WiNUP Mid-Atlantic $1000 STEM Scholarship


WiNUP Mid-Atlantic is offering a one-time, $1,000 scholarship to a high school senior residing in the Mid-Atlantic region who plans to pursue further education at a college or vocational/technical school in science, technology, engineering or math. The scholarship recognizes that with resilience, emotional intelligence, agility, detail orientation and youthful optimism, students can be ready to pursue STEM opportunities after high school. To apply for the Mid-Atlantic scholarship, please complete the application and submit a single page letter of intent at the link below by Friday, May 1.  Candidates may optionally submit one letter of recommendation from a non-family member to WiNUPMidAtlantic@gmail.com.

Women's International Network of Utility Professionals is a not-for-profit 501 (c) (6) organization under the IRA Code.  Section 501 (c) (6) of the IRS code provides for the exemption of business leagues - which is an association of individuals with a common business interest.  Contributions to WiNUP are not tax deductible as a charitable donation.  Contributions may qualify as a business expense.  Donors should consult a tax professional.
