MATL (In-Person) - "The Nuclear Revival" Power Talk with Grace Stanke

About this event

The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Women’s International Network of Utility Professionals (WiNUP) is excited to invite members to an Innovation Power Talk: The Nuclear Revival, taking place on Wednesday, Feb. 12.

We are thrilled to welcome Grace Stanke, Miss America 2023 and current Constellation nuclear engineer, to discuss her experience with nuclear energy, recent shifts in societal views around nuclear energy, and what the industry is doing to promote the success of this clean energy resource. As a nuclear engineer, former Miss America, and clean energy advocate, Stanke uses her platform to improve public perception surrounding nuclear science through policy work and public engagements across the globe. By encouraging worldwide change for clean, low carbon emission energy sources, Stanke emphasizes the benefits of nuclear power and seeks to dispel the myths around nuclear energy while inspiring the next generation of scientists, engineers and mathematicians.

Tom O’Brien, PJM Sr. Vice President, Chief Information Officer, will provide opening remarks at the power talk.

Lunch will be served for in-person attendees.
