2025 Virginia Chapter Chair


Elizabeth began with AEP as a Transmission Right of Way Record Specialist 2021. She joined WiNUP in 2022 and looks forward to being involved more with the organization.

Elizabeth is married to Doug for 7 years. While she has no children, she considers her friendly felines her babies: Bella, Gerda and Kay and spoils them rotten. She enjoys going for long walks, spending time with her family and watching true crime stories.

Amanda Hurst

2025 Virginia Chapter Vice Chair and IB Representative


Amanda joined WiNUP in 2023. She has worked with AEP as a Transmission Right of Way Agent since 2021.

Amanda moved to the Roanoke area the summer of 2021 from Denver, Colorado. She is originally from Bluefield, WV, and a graduate of Virginia Tech, with a degree in Electrical Engineering. She is currently the President of the Roanoke Valley Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association. She has lived in several locations including West Virginia, Virginia, Ohio, Georgia, Washington, Utah, and Colorado. Having worked in over 35 states, Amanda, is now enjoying her return to Roanoke, VA. Amanda enjoys traveling, photography, and gardening. She also, enjoys live music and festivals. Some of her favorite bands include Dave Matthew Band and Pearl Jam

Teresa Hyers

2025 Virginia Chapter Treasurer & Secretary


Teresa joined WiNUP in 2014. She has worked for AEP as a Transmission Project Coordinator since 2013.

Teresa has lived in Roanoke for over 30 years and is originally from Luray VA. She has been married to her husband Tim for 22 years. They have a beautiful daughter Taylor who is turning 13 this year. They also have a Jack Russell named Lola. She enjoys reading in her spare time

Women's International Network of Utility Professionals is a not-for-profit 501 (c) (6) organization under the IRA Code.  Section 501 (c) (6) of the IRS code provides for the exemption of business leagues - which is an association of individuals with a common business interest.  Contributions to WiNUP are not tax deductible as a charitable donation.  Contributions may qualify as a business expense.  Donors should consult a tax professional.
